It's synonymous throughout the decades with being a very British pattern, the chalk stripe, the English Chalk Stripe.

"When building a wardrobe, I think it's really important that you think about accessories as well."

I know that actually when I come to choosing a tie in the morning, it very much depends on my mood, the suit that I'm going to wear and how I choose the tie for the day. Maybe that tie has particular memories, it evokes certain emotions.

For me, a scarf is really, really important as well. Obviously it's a very functional piece, it's there to keep you warm. The two Fox scarves I'd like to talk about are the chalk stripes in 100% cashmere. We have Havana Brown with a smoke blue chalk stripe. I think the Havana Brown works wonderfully with grey flannel. It’s such a rich, warm colour that it really enhances the melange of our grey flannel, Fox flannel, of course.

The navy with the classic, quite a light grey chalk stripe is, to me, the epitome, the ultimate classic.

"If I were to choose one scarf in my wardrobe, I would choose the… actually no, I would choose the Havana Brown. I think it's a splendid statement piece.

You wear it with, as I say, the grey flannel, the mid-grey flannel, or even the charcoal grey flannel. You have this elegant highlight of brown that's draped around your neck, almost like wearing a nice warm hug. Being 100% cashmere, that's very much the case. It works perfectly with a mink brown suede brogue. It has that really rich winter character, obviously not wearing suede shoes on a rainy day, in my opinion, but it would also work very well with a brown brogue.

To me, the two scarves are quintessentially British in their look, and being 100% cashmere, they provide functionality.
